Dr. David Cleaver, D.O. was born in San Diego, California. He graduated from Kirksville High School in 1998. He completed his training at the St. Joseph Mercy Health System in Michigan and returned back to his home town of Kirksville to join his father’s practice in 2010. Dr. Cleaver and his wife, Melissa, have one daughter, Sadie and a son on the way in November 2016.
Dr. Cleaver is currently a professor of dermatology at Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine/A.T. Still University. He is on the Board of Trustees for the American Osteopathic Board of Dermatology. Dr. David is currently the Program Director for the dermatology residency training program.
Dr. Cleaver is board certified by the American Osteopathic Board of Dermatology in Dermatology and Mohs Surgery. He practices general dermatology, surgical dermatological surgery, and cosmetic dermatology including botulinum toxins, dermal fillers and sclerotherapy.
